There is so much to love about this vintage-inspired kitchen. The homeowners were content with the kitchen layout but desired a transformation from the inside out. A combination of cabinet refacing and new cabinetry was the perfect solution. We installed new upper cabinets that extended to the ceiling, making the space feel bigger. Lower cabinets were refaced, and several cabinetry modifications were built, including a multi-hinged corner pull-out that made inaccessible space functional and a custom panel to conceal the dishwasher.
To enhance the drama in this space, we installed white subway tiles to the ceiling. Next, muted, brushed nickel hardware was selected to compliment the cabinetry colors. (Upper cabinets were finished with Sherwin Williams® Snowbound; lower cabinets were finished with Sherwin Williams® Rainwashed.) Finally, open shelves allowed the family to showcase treasured accessories. Subtle colors and charming details gave this kitchen the perfect vintage vibe.
