Project Description:

When an additional family member moved in, these homeowners knew there would be too many cooks in the kitchen! So, Comfort Remodel took on the fun challenge of adding storage for additional baking equipment, spices, food, and dishes. We first changed the kitchen layout, making room for an industrial-sized stove and larger refrigerator. Moving the appliances opened up the side wall. It was then readily converted into a huge walk-in pantry. The new extensive island is much deeper and easily accommodates a farmhouse sink, microwave drawer, dishwasher, a mixer-lift, and seating. In addition, cabinet accessories provide efficient storage and organization throughout the kitchen, such as double silverware drawers, large roll-out trays, and even a baker's rack drawer!

The homeowners desired a Coastal look for the remodeled space. To achieve a bright and breezy feel, we suggested using German beech wood species and a white stain on the island and hood. The perimeter cabinetry was finished with Sherwin Williams® Moody Blue (#6221).

The result…there's enough room for all the cooks in this beautiful, coastal inspired kitchen!
